When the car was invented it was seen as a nuisance because cars disturbed the horses.
Efforts were even made to outlaw them.
Today we can’t imagine having to harness and unharness horses to a carriage to go to the store. We just get in our cars, turn a key and go.
Obvious now, but not then.
Innovations have always kick started the next boom because they remove barriers and accelerate the capacity for us humans to interact and transact.
But innovation always challenges the status quo before it becomes accepted.
A while back the Internet came along to remove barriers and increase our capacity to interact in ways that continue to inspire and surprise us.
So now we have a choice – learn how to harness the connection economy to live better or resist it and live worse.
