Time Poverty

Poverty is an inability to produce a surplus.

Put another way, the best-case poverty scenario is that you have just (barely) enough to get by.  Always surfing the edge of ‘not enough’.

By this definition, poverty has nothing to do with whether you own a home or a car, it has nothing to do with your education level, and it has nothing to do with earning more than some magical number published by the government.

Poverty is a state of being that comes down to time.

Everyone is born with a 100% guarantee of a 24-hour day for as long as they live.

Yet everywhere we go, there are people rushing, exasperated with how little time they have…as if they don’t have the same 24 hours.

What are you chasing that requires more than 24 hours in a day?

And most importantly, what are you chasing that has nothing to do with what you really need?
